We first met this couple the way we meet so many of our buyers now, through YouTube. They were originally from Sweden but had built their life and their assets in Switzerland, and somewhere along the way, Sicily started calling to them.
They found our channel, started watching the property tours, and eventually reached out. What began as curiosity turned into a real plan to buy.
The day before we sat down with them at the agenzia delle entrate to get their tax codes sorted, they had walked through their new home in Santo Stefano di Camastra for the first time. You could still see it on their faces the next morning, that mix of disbelief and joy that this was actually happening.
Santo Stefano di Camastra is a town we know well. We do our own daily shopping in its streets, and it is famous around the world for its ceramic arts. With about 4,700 residents, a beach, a train station, and a bus station all close by, it is the kind of place where you genuinely do not need a car.
For a couple managing a purchase from abroad while still living their daily lives in Switzerland, that combination of paperwork, distance, and language can feel overwhelming. Our job was to make sure it never actually was.
We walked them through every step, from the tax code appointment to preparing the power of attorney for the purchase, so they would not need to fly back and forth for every signature. What matters to us is that they never had to guess what came next.
We are excited and we are very happy that we discovered Carlo’s YouTube channel and we had a great opportunity to cash real estate here in Switzerland and everything, it feels safe with Carlo. Carlo makes sure that the whole process goes smooth and as fast as possible.
Hearing that is exactly why we do this work. Buying a home across borders is never just paperwork, it is trust, and it is someone believing that a dream in Sicily is actually within reach.
This couple is now one more story in a town we love, walking distance from the sea, surrounded by ceramic workshops and neighbors who wave hello. We could not be happier for them.
